YOUR WRITING VISION

Do you have a passion for writing? Are you allowing fear of ridicule to keep you from writing a novel?

If you have a vision of a story or a character, use your voice and create it first for yourself. Cultivate it; research the content and keep writing. You are not wasting time; you are allowing yourself to explore the unknown and you will find yourself on an exciting new journey. Soon you will blossom into the writer you’ve always wanted to be.

Don’t be afraid of the voices you hear inside your head. That is your character telling you what he/she wants. Trust me you’re not going crazy, but you are embarking on a life of multiple personalities who will show up when you’re driving or taking a shower. You can never predict what your character will say or do next. Rejoice when your character comes to life on paper.

Create a Writer’s Notebook or Writer’s Dictionary. (I will explain how you can start one in another post). It can be a plain spiral notebook for easy access. If you have a white board, you can jot down ideas on that if you’re at home or on your phone in the note app. if you’re out and about. Do whatever it takes not to forget that thought or that line of dialogue.

This is the best time for new writers to take the plunge and do what they’ve always dreamed of doing. Until next time, stay in the Write Zone.
