I believe inspiration is everywhere. This morning it was from a bird sitting on the railing in my front porch and then another little bird joined him. It looked as if they were conversing to one another in their own secret language. What do they see? How do they view human beings? They seem to have an innate instinct of knowing who they can trust and the same birds visit me over and over again. And I look forward to their visits.
If you’re ever sitting on a beach, notice how close the sea gulls walk up to you, even if you don’t have food. Some people view them as annoying creatures, but I find them charming and talk to them as I would a cat or a dog. And they know how you feel about them, by the tone of your voice or when you scoot them away. And isn’t that how we relate to each other? We can tell if we’re wanted in a group. They either ignore us or invite us into their circle.
All of Nature has its own special magic and I believe many of our lessons in life are from the little things we take for granted because even though it’s right in front of us, we don’t really see it or take the time to enjoy it.
Is it because we’re too pre-occupied on our phones texting or on social media? Next time, since your phone is glued to your hip, take a picture to keep as a beautiful memory that you captured in that moment. Be inspired and pay attention to the life around you. And it’s free….as you will be when you take a minute of your time.
